Enbridge Inc. is intending to build a new pipeline that would carry crude oil from Alberta to Superior, Wisconsin. The new pipeline corridor is crossing Minnesota's lake country, would threaten pristine aquatic ecosystems, the largest wild rice bed in the world, the headwaters of the Mississippi River, and and the Great Lake Superior. One-fifth of the world's fresh surface water supply lies within this land and it is worth protecting. This would become one of the largest crude oil pipelines in the continent, carrying up to 915,000 barrels per day. First Nations, tribes, and communities along this dangerous corridor having been fighting for years to stop Line 3 and it's time to stand up and fight against this pipeline along side them. This pipeline will not only be breaking U.S. treaties, endangering native lives disproportionately to non native lives, but will also threaten the earth and the water we need in order to survive.
Stand with Water Protectors and submit a public comment to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. By submitting a public comment, you'll be contributing to the movement to resist toxic pipelines and all of the destruction that comes with them. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission will only be accepting public comments on the pipeline until NOVEMBER 22, 2017. Please consider adding your voice to the resistance, and together we can oppose Line 3! Written letters can be submitted to me and I can take them to the MN Public Utilities Commission.
