Lower Elementary Social Sat 9/30 8:30-10am

The Parent Engagement Group (PEG) at Great River School cordially invite you to a social event scheduled for Saturday September 30th from 8:30am to 10amat May Park. This event is intended to give families, and students, in the lower elementary classrooms (grades 1-3) an opportunity to connect outside the normal school setting. We will be serving bagels, donuts, coffee and orange juice and will need an RSVP no later than Friday September 29th in order to determine food/drink quantities. You may RSVP by replying to this email with the number, and names, of individuals in your party/family!

May Park was recently renovated and has gotten positive reviews from Great River School families with students in the lower elementary grades. The address to the park is: 816 Clayland Street, Saint Paul, MN 55104 and a link to the park's website may be accessed here: https://www.stpaul.gov/facilities/may-park.

We are planning at least one ice-breaker type activity to promote community building and connections between attendees, so be prepared to mingle! We will also have games for the kids that will be set up in the field immediately adjacent to the park. The lower elementary ambassadors will be coordinating social events throughout the year and welcome any ideas/suggestions from our lower elementary families.

Current lower elementary ambassadors are: (you are encouraged to leverage these individuals throughout the school year)
**NOTE: We are recruiting/seeking a parent ambassador for the Clearwater River Room, ideally a parent or guardian of a student currently in that classroom. If you are interested, please contact David Martinez directly.
