The group is intended to act like a ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) support and discussion group for families with teens.
The group will be covering the first couple of chapters in "How to Talk So Teens Will Listen and Listen so Teens Will Talk" by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. One GRS parent reported at our last A2 social that this book transformed her relationship with her kids.
This is a no-pressure, casual book club! Feel free to read or skim or just show up and catch the Cliff Notes version. We'll have copies of some of the communication exercises the book recommends.
PLUS: Bring your teen and they can hang out with other teens and have a book club of their own. Book/activity TBD by the group.
