Restitution for the Home: A workshop for families on March 31, 6:30 PM

Restitution for the Home

Have you ever wondered how to use the skills of Restitution at home with your children?

Restitution is how we work with challenging situations at Great River to create conditions where students learn how to fix their mistakes and return to the group strengthened.
Restitution is all about restoring relationships - first restoring the primary relationship we have with ourselves and the person we want to be, and then bringing our best selves forward to strengthen our relationships to our guides, peers and classroom communities.
What a wonderful process!  How can this work be brought to life in our family relationships? Join Restitution trainer Judy Anderson as she offers a:

Restitution Workshop for Families
Thursday, March 31 from 6:30-7:30 PM
in Maria's Dining Hall.

Restitution and Montessori agree:
  • We all share the same basic needs
  • We live in a world of freedom within limits
  • Our goal is to develop an internal locus of control (self-discipline)
  • Developing peace within oneself as well as peace in the community around us is our great work
  • We are working toward the peaceful transformation of human culture

We look forward to seeing you there!

Childcare needs? Please RSVP to Katie Ibes at kibes@greatriverschool.org with student names and ages.
