With their adult crew leaders, youth crew members work on projects in urban parks, community gardens, and natural areas. Youth are also paid for education days which incorporate environmental education, civic engagement, resume building, etc. Youth meet at various Rec Centers throughout Ramsey County and Minneapolis. Locations for the spring are to be confirmed, as we try to select locations that are most convenient for our applicants.
We’re especially excited about a new initiative to support youth beyond the fall and spring semesters. In partnership with the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, we work with youth who are interested in PSEO and/or environmental careers to apply for PSEO and learn more about jobs at the DNR.  Youth will have the opportunity to continue working with the Corps in the summer, and will receive Corps and University staff guidance during the PSEO application process and beyond.
Please feel free to reach me at (651) 209-9900 x15 or arielle.johnson@conservationcorps.org if you have any questions about the program or the position!
