Great River School will be offering the PSAT (Preliminary SAT test) on Wednesday, October 14th. The PSAT test is the official qualifying test for the National Merit Scholar program. Only 11th grade students are eligible for the National Merit Scholar program. 9th and 10th grade students are invited to take the test to hone their skills for upcoming years. Great River will have between 5 and 10 tests available for 9th and 10th grade students.
Test Fee:
The PSAT includes a fee of $15 that can be paid in cash or check - written to Great River School. Fees can be delivered directly to Matt or can be dropped off at the front desk. Families qualifying for Free and Reduced Lunch can receive fee-waivers for this exam (along with the actual ACT and SAT tests).
11th grade students have received materials that include a full-length practice test. 9th and 10th graders interested in the test can seek out Matt for these materials as well. The PSAT test is not required; 11th grade students are strongly encouraged to participate.
