Overcoming a slightly behind schedule departure, torturous Chicago area rush hour traffic, and the threat of lake effect weather, students on South Bus arrived at Indiana Dunes with grace and patience.
Park ranger Brad Baumgardner graciously adapted what was to be a Sunset Tour to a stargazing hour and as we hiked back to camp we listened to katydids and frogs singing into the night.
Students compassionately supported each other through academic challenge and have begun to reach out to each other to create new social connections across grade levels.
Tomorrow we head east to Dearborn and the Henry Ford Museum!
