The Lower Elementary will be going on October 2nd to the Buttermilk Falls Farm in Wisconsin. While there, we will do meaningful work, such as cleaning and caring for the barnyard, and harvesting crops. We’ll also take a hike to the falls, collecting items for a community nature mandala. The buses leave in the morning around 9:00 and return just before the end of the school day. The farm is owned by Christina Beck, former Head of School at GRS, and we appreciate very much her generosity in hosting.
The volunteering enthusiasm of the lower elementary parents has been wonderful. Thank you to everyone! We already have all the chaperones we need, and many more who offered.
