Great River Parent Group meets on March 11th, 6:30-8:30 PM at Great River School

Great River parents are in the process of forming a parent group; the name is still in question, hence the use of 'group' instead of organization.  

Parents are basing the formation of the organization around three main questions listed below.  Each question will be the focus of a parent group meeting (March, April and May).  Each meeting will be facilitated by a parent volunteer, Emily Scribner-O'Pray, using a consensus approach.   

Questions are as follows:

1. How will the Parent Group/Org build a welcoming & productive community for all families, faculty and students?
2. What two or three initiatives will we focus on in the 2015-16 school year?
3. How will the Parent Group/Org organize itself?
4. How will we self organize while remaining deeply connected to the school’s vision/mission and needs?

The group will officially begin its work this summer, in advance of the 2015-16 school year.
