Great River only school with two Students at the STATE COMPETITION for Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud 2015: Great River is immensely proud to announce that BOTH of their candidates for the St. Paul regionals competition, Sarah Donnelly and Naomi Whitney-Hirschmann, competed so successfully at the semifinals that they BOTH went on to compete in the state competition the next day! 
Great River was the only school to boast two candidates at the state competition!  The regional event was held on Wed, March 11th at the Loft Literary Center, and the state competition was held Thursday, March 12th at the Central Mpls Library.  Congratulations to both Sarah and Naomi for being state finalists in the Poetry Out Loud national poetry recitation competition! We are so proud!
