Great River Seniors & Families: FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Due as soon as possible

FAFSA

Nearly all seniors have completed their applications for admission. Congratulations on all your hard work. The next step in the processing is planning for the costs of attendance so students can make informed decisions about their enrollment before the May 1st National Decision Day.

One of the most important parts of determining financial assistance is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – The FAFSA. Nearly all schools require this to complete the financial aid packages they offer families. The sooner your complete the FAFSA, the sooner the school can determine your award and the more remaining funds they have to allocate.

Go to fafsa.ed.gov to start the process. Remember, FAFSA stands for free, so make sure you aren’t paying a fee for this process (there are other entities called FAFSA that do charge fees).
